Default Nine Rings Funding question

So here is my question, I plan on doing nothing but idling at nine rigns when canthan new year comes by, what I want to know is what is the maximum amount of money I should have to make sure I have enough to ensure that I can keep idling there without running out of money.

I'll be aiming for lucky points so I'll be on the middle for more chances to win.

I have a random guess that I should need around 400k? Been a while since I did the lucky rings and I have forgotten how much I usually spent on it.

400k doesn't sound too far off but I wouldn't be overly surprised if you ran out. I'm planning on doing the same and have 600k stashed. Usually I fill up my main bag with stacks and leave it overnight/day and then top it up later as needed. Beware of filling yourself up too much - if you get on a winning streak and max out your bags you'll start dropping tickets on the floor which someone else can pick up. You'll probably want to check on the client a few times over the weekend just to make sure you're still connected - top yourself up when you do.

Going from the table on this page Nine Rings You need 220,588 Gold for 72.4 hours which should get you 250k Lucky Points in the 3 days.

So it works out an average of 3042 gold for every hour you want to spend on the Nine Rings.

It doesn't matter where you stand for lucky points. They all average out to the same amount. You might as well stand in the corner for a few additional unlucky points.

I think the last time I afk'd a weekend in the rings I went through about 300k worth of tickets. You should be pretty close with what you have. Follow tascha's advice and you'll be ok.

One other tip, talk to the ticket guy and your xunlai chest before going to the rings. Unlike other NPC's you can buy tickets from him without being next to him. And with your chest open, you never have to leave the rings.

I usually buy about 500k worth of tickets and they last.

Standing in the middle ring doesn't actually net you any more Lucky points than the sides or corners. You can find all the if you need on these titles on the Lucky/Unlucky titles page, and guide page.

To answer your question, 400k should be plenty enough for the weekend,as stated above, 72 is about 220k. But remember, the tickets sell for the same price you bought them for, so having extra is no big deal.

Oh sweet I hadn't thought about this. Good advice.

Other thing to note is that yes the average will calculate to be 220k but due to an unlucky run (which is more drastic and noticeable on the corner rings) the cost is likely to be higher as you have to buy more tickets to see you through the bad run. But as the above poster said, they sell back for the same amount as you buy them for so don't worry about buying more than you need.
